Cherry Street Pier

Originally serving as marine-railroad terminals linking the Delaware River to the Pennsylvania railroad yards, this history property has been reimagined has a multi-tenant artisan facility bridging the community and arts together. The space contains art studios and a gallery, allowing artists to work and display their products in this collaborative space. The open space and multiple concessions stands located within the pier, provides an abundance of room to host large-scale galleries, and markets for the community to purchase goods and crafts. The garden, located at the edge of the Pier provide an inviting space to relax and enjoy the beautiful views along the Delaware River.

Holstein White worked in conjunction with the Owner and Architect to provide a MEPFP design maintaining the historical integrity of the property. The project consisted of a ductless mini-split systems for the artisan studios, high-bay LED lighting in the Pier, custom sump pump system design and low-flow plumbing fixtures. This project was awarded the 2019 Preservation Alliance Grand Jury Award.
