Liberty Science Center

HWI was responsible for designing the electrical system upgrades associated with renovations to Liberty Science Center’s Dome Theater. The iconic IMAX theater is a 400-seat facility with an 89-foot diameter screen. The theater is utilized as a planetarium and commonly features educational films and laser shows.

Additionally, HWI provided the electrical design for one of Liberty Science Center’s newest exhibits: “Science on a Sphere”. The sphere is a 6-foot diameter suspended spherical high-definition projection system created by the NOAA, which is utilized to deliver programs for K-12 students and guests related to atmospheric storms, climate change and ocean temperatures.
