Philadelphia Housing Authority

Philadelphia Housing Authority strives to deliver affordable living to complement the revitalization of communities throughout Philadelphia by ensuring that quality housing is made available for lower-income residents. Holstein White has been involved in numerous new development and revitalization projects for the Philadelphia Housing Authority, from single family housing, to high-rise multifamily facilities, to their corporate headquarters facility.

With a focus on providing energy-efficient solutions, Holstein White’s design for the North Central Phase II project assisted in acquiring LEED Silver certification for 89 dwelling units. The Strawberry Mansion project was designed to exceed the threshold 2015 Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) criteria, which is the leading U.S. standard for the design, construction, and operation of healthy, energy efficient, and environmentally responsible affordable housing. Both projects include high-efficiency HVAC units and hot water heater, EnergySTAR complaint lighting fixtures and appliances and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
