St. Rita’s Place & Cascia Center

Located next door to the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, St Rita’s Place offers 46 units of affordable senior living housing for income-eligible adults in South Philadelphia. Holstein White’s MEP&FP design of this senior living facility includes energy-efficient HVAC systems and an emergency back-up generator. The design also satisfies the requirements of EnergySTAR and Enterprise Green Communities. The first floor of the building, referred to as the Cascia Center, features a 7,500-square foot multipurpose space with offices and conference rooms for the employees of the National Shrine and hospitality facilities including a kitchen, luncheon area, meeting room and presentation space for the visitors of the Shrine.
